After spending 20 years as a potter, sculptor and ceramics teacher, Heidi recently rediscovered her childhood love for drawing. 

Six months later, Heidi was lucky enough to score her first illustration contract - ‘Two Birds on a Wire’ (by Coral Vass, Koala Books). 

In 2015 and 2016 Heidi won the CYA illustrated manuscript competition, which led to the creation of her first book as author and illustrator 'Kate and the Thing', due out March 2018. 

Heidi's favourite medium is watercolour, but she also likes to mix it up with ink, pencil and pastel.
